If you are new to booking a professional food photography session, you are probably wondering what the process is like. What does it entail? How long does it take? What do you need to prepare?

This post is designed to take you through the whole process so you know exactly what to expect from working with Jette Shoots.

Before the Shoot

Good photography starts before anyone picks up a camera. Before the shoot, we talk about your brand, your goals, and how you plan to use the images. Are they for your website? Your menu? Instagram? These are different mediums with different needs.

You don’t have to know it all. That’s what the consultation is for. I ask the questions, and together, we create a plan.

On the day of the shoot, I arrive along with my equipment, and we begin our work. For food businesses, time is of the essence. Food photography is best done when the food is fresh. If you own a restaurant, we plan our shoots around your kitchen timings. If you own a bakery, we plan our shoots around your bakes.

What You Need to Prepare

Here’s how we can make it easy on the shoot: make sure your dishes or products are fresh and ready, clear out the space we’ll be working in, share any brand colors or inspiration images with me in advance, and let your team know we’ll be doing a shoot.

The more information you give me before we start, the better those photos will turn out.

After the Shoot

After that, I’ll edit and deliver your final images in the agreed timeframe. You’ll get high-resolution images that are ready to use on your website, socials, menus, and more.

Why Miami Businesses Invest in Professional Food Photography

Miami is a competitive market, and it’s a city where people choose where they eat based on what they see on their phone. The businesses that succeed online are those with images that stop people mid-scroll. Food photography is not a luxury; it’s how businesses compete in this market.
